MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's lacrosse team came back from a deficit in the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell to Lycoming 10-8 Saturday (March 1) in Meadville.
In a fast-paced start of the game, the Warriors scored a pair of goals before the Gators got on the board. A little more than two minutes in,
Tomi Horsley (Salt Lake City, Utah/Brighton) scored his first collegiate goal off a feed by
CT Graniel (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Preparatory), cutting the lead in half. However, Lycoming struck twice more in the frame to take a three goal lead into the second.
Once again, the Warriors scored the first two goals of the frame as their lead grew to 6-1 in the second. The Gators scored the final goal of the half when Graniel assisted
Jack Cushwa (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) for the tally.
The Gators came out of the halftime break with three of third quarter goals.
Alex Crespo (Johnstown, Pa./Westmont Hilltop) scored the first goal of the second half unassisted before Cushwa scored his second of the game, this time assisted by
Anthony DeMarco (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/Olmsted Falls). Crespo found the back of the net for the second time to cut the lead to 6-5, but Lycoming scored a goal in the final thirty seconds of the quarter.
Cushwa completed his hat trick just 90 seconds into the fourth on an unassisted goal that cut the lead to 7-5. Minutes later, Crespo scored his third tally, assisted by
Griffin Cates (Arlington Heights, Ill./John Hersey) to tie the game at seven. Cushwa's fourth goal of the game midway through the fourth quarter gave Allegheny their first lead of the game. However, the Warriors netted the final three goals as they Gators fell at home.

- The Gators outshot the Warriors 50-28.
