DANVILLE, Ky. – The Allegheny field hockey team dropped a nonconference game to Centre on the road Saturday (Sept. 14) in Kentucky.
The Gators fell 7-0.
The Colonels scored their first goal in the opening minute.
Bella Cowen (Louisville, Ky./Kentucky Country Day School) had a shot blocked in the frame while
Caroline Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) had a shot on target that was turned away. Centre added on goal in the second quarter as they took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Centre tallied four more goals in the third and one in the fourth while limiting the Gators chances.
