PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- For the second year in a row, CBS Pittsburgh/KDKA-TV will televise Allegheny College football as part of the network's coverage of Division III college football.
CBS Pittsburgh selected three of Allegheny's five home contests to be part of this year's broadcast schedule, bringing the action from Frank B. Fuhrer Field at the Robertson Athletic Complex into the homes of college football fans throughout western Pennsylvania:
- September 14 vs. Saint Vincent at 1:00 p.m.
- October 26 vs. Waynesburg at 5:00 p.m.
- November 16 vs. Washington & Jefferson at 1:00 p.m.
All three games will air on KDKA+ with simultaneous streaming on CBS News Pittsburgh and KDKA.com.
"Football is part of the rich history of Southwestern Pennsylvania," said KDKA-TV president and general manager Chris Cotugno. "Because it is a common thread that connects our communities, it is important that we broadcast local high school and college games every weekend, providing our viewers with an opportunity to see games they might not otherwise have a chance to see."
JRM Video Production, a Pittsburgh-based video production company specializing in live sports, will again produce the broadcasts. According to owner Jake Mysliwczyk, "This year, JRM will provide a vastly improved viewing experience for fans to include advanced technology such as virtual first down and line-of-scrimmage markers."
Fans unable to watch live will have on-demand access to each Allegheny broadcast on the JRM Sports Youtube channel (@jrmsports).
