TRAFFORD, Pa. – Dagney Javes (Frederick, Colo./Dawson School) and Jacy Diaz (Barranquitas, Puerto Rico/Gallatin (Tenn.)) earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) weekly honors for their performances last week.
 
Javes earned Offensive Player of the Week while Diaz was named Defensive Player of the Week as the Gators went 4-1 last week.
 
Javes tallied 59 kills for the week. She started the week with a historic performance in a win against Penn State Behrend. In three sets, Javes had 14 kills on 20 attempts, a hitting percentage of .700. That is the highest mark in a three set match in program history. Javes had 16 kills against Wilmington, 10 against Fredonia and Pitt Greensburg and nine against John Carroll. She also had 10 blocks.
 
For the season, Javes has 138 kills and 32 blocks.
 
Diaz produced 104 digs in the five contests. Her single game high of the week came against Wilmington, putting up 29 digs. Diaz also had 25 digs against John Carroll and 23 against Fredonia. In addition to her defensive prowess, Diaz had 20 aces on the week, including seven against Penn State Behrend and five against Pitt Greensburg.
 
For the season, Diaz leads the team with 232 digs and 41 aces.
 
The Gators are back in action Thursday (Sept. 21) as they travel to Westminster for a nonconference match.
