Men's Lacrosse Runs Medaille Out of Meadville in 22-3 Victory

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College men's lacrosse made light work of Medaille University in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday evening, as the Gators cruised to a 22-3 victory on Frank B. Fuhrer Field at the Robertson Athletic Complex.

With the win, the Gators (4-4) finished just one shy of the program's single-game record for goals scored and one shy of the record for the fewest goals allowed defensively. Allegheny also tied its record for the largest margin of victory.

Thirteen different players earned a point, and 10 netted at least one goal for Allegheny. Aidan D'Amato (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) led the way with a career-high seven points (4g-3a). Jack Cushwa (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) and Gideon Sullivan (Getzville, N.Y./Cathedral (Ind.)) both logged hat tricks, while first-year attackman JP Rakis (Kensington, Md./Walter Johnson) had two goals with two assists for four points.

Jack Hales (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood), Andrew Myers (Mars, Pa./North Allegheny), and Benjamin Gallegos (Lafayette, Colo./Dawson School) each found the back of the net twice. Rounding out Allegheny's multi-point performers were CT Graniel (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Preparatory) and Graham Nash (Innisfil, Ont./Nantyr Shores) with one goal and one assist apiece.

Allegheny paired a nearly unstoppable offense with a stout defensive effort, as the Gators held the Mavs off the scoreboard for the first 45 minutes.
