MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Allegheny College women's tennis celebrated Senior Day Thursday evening by extending its win streak to seven consecutive matches with a 9-0 victory over Saint Vincent College.

Before the match, Allegheny (7-1, 6-0 PAC) recognized its four seniors: Jean-Arlette Legrand (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Commonwealth Parkville School), Noelle Kidd (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton), Lauren Passarelli (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy), and Allison Riley (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg). The three healthy seniors were utilized throughout the lineup to help sweep the Bearcats (6-4, 3-4 PAC).

Legrand was a double-winner. First, she teamed up with Rei Etsumi (Honolulu, Hawaii/President William McKinley) for an unblemished 8-0 victory on the second doubles court. She then battled Carolina Walters in the longest singles contest of the evening. Legrand outlasted the defending Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Year, as she batted from behind to win the second set, 6-3, and a 10-point tiebreaker, 10-8. The Allegheny senior matched Walters' slow pace with a plethora of deep lobs, resulting in many long rallies that turned the showdown into a marathon.

Passarelli and Omega Ba (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater) won their fifth consecutive match as a tandem by defeating Julia Runk and Rebecca Kurylo, 8-1, in third doubles.

At No. 5 singles, Kidd remained undefeated in conference action and secured her seventh consecutive victory with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Marisa Hooper.
