MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's swimming and diving team competed against Grove City Saturday (Oct. 21) in Meadville for their first home meet of the 2023-24 season.
 
The Gators dropped the meet to the Wolverines by a score of 130-40.
 
Jacob Anderson (Jamestown, N.Y./Jamestown) had runner-up finishes in the 100 and 200 backstrokes.
 
Emmett Manning (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) finished second in a pair of freestyle events, earning the placements in the 50 and 100.
 
Emmet Fluharty (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) was second in both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes.
 
Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) rounded out the Gators with runner-up finishes in the 200 and 500 freestyles.
 
Additionally, the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams also carded second-place finishes.
