GAMBIER, Ohio – Competing in its final North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships, the Allegheny women's tennis team fell in the seventh-place game to Ohio Wesleyan 5-1 Saturday (April 30).
The Gators picked up their first win at second doubles as Noelle Kidd (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton) and Katherine Stancil (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) collected an 8-2 win. However, the Battling Bishops won at first and third doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles action.
Victories at first, fourth and fifth singles sealed the win for the Battling Bishops.
The Gators finish the season with a 7-11 record under first year head coach Dave Hayden.
