Mirkovich makes 23 saves in NCAC setback at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio – Allegheny dropped a 12-3 decision at Oberlin in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) men's lacrosse action on Wednesday (April 20).

Eric Mirkovich (York, Pa./York Central) made 23 saves on the evening, the most by a Gators' netminder in the short history of the program, which spans just 27 matches to date.

Colin Deubell (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) accounted for two of Allegheny's three goals in the match. Graham Nash (Innisfil, Ont./Nantyr Shores) added the third goal for the Gators.

Cassady Bouthet (Vernon, Conn./Rockville) tied his season and career high with six ground balls to pace the defense. Ryan Mantione (East Northport, N.Y./John Glenn) was one off Bouthet's team high with five ground balls, tying his own personal season best. Pete Schellbach (New York, N.Y./Salisbury School) and Garrett Danielson (Kettering, Ohio/Kettering-Fairmont) were tied for third on the team with four GBs apiece.

The Gators remain on the road this weekend, Saturday, April 23, when they travel to Granville, Ohio for a 3 p.m. match at Denison, before closing out the regular season with a pair of home games next week.
