ERIE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 win against Ohio Wesleyan Sunday (April 10).
The Gators started the match with two doubles victories.
Katherine Marks (Argyle, Texas/Liberty Christian) and
Katherine Stancil (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) won 8-7 (7-2) at second doubles while
Allison Riley (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) and
Noelle Kidd (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton) won 8-4 at third doubles.
Stancil and Kidd collected their second wins of the day as they won at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
Ella Swan (Nashville, Tenn./Hume-Fogg Academic) won at second singles 6-4, 6-3.
Sabrina Rodriguez (Kissimmee, Fla./Professional and Technical High School) picked up a three-set win 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 at third singles while
Jean-Arlette Legrand (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Commonwealth Parkland School) won at fourth singles 6-3, 6-1.
Allegheny is back in action Monday (April 11) at home against Penn State Behrend.
