MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Allegheny concluded its fall nonconference campaign with an 8-1 victory against Mount Union at the Robertson Tennis Courts as part of Blue & Gold Weekend 2021.
 
The day started with a sweep at doubles for the Gators.  Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundgymnasiet) and Adam Shinomiya (Portland, Ore./International School of Beavertown) won at first, Benny Gantrish (Tilton, N.H./Tilton) and David Salazar II (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) won at second and Nate Chubb (Akron, N.Y./Akron Central) and Guillaume Emiliano Loinard-Gonzalez (Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico/Universidad Jefferson Morelia) won at third.
 
Hedlund and Shinomiya collected their second wins of the day at first and second singles, respectively.  Wonjoon Cho (Topeka, Kan./Wichita Collegiate School), Will Jarvie (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) and Fabrizzio Reategui (Boca Ranton, Fla./Boc Prep International) also picked up singles victories.
 
The match served as the finale for the fall portion of the men's tennis schedule, and the Gators will be idle until the spring season kicks off.
