MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny softball team finished up its 2021 season with a pair of nonconference losses to Wooster on Sunday.
Game one was highlighted by a pair of Allegheny home runs. In the bottom of the first inning,
Hayley Behr (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) launched a three-run home run over the left field fence for her fourth of the season. Her three RBIs tied for a game-high. Â
Cameron Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) recorded her second home run of the campaign in the bottom of the third inning. Long belted a two-run shot over the center field fence that scored
Kelly Lafferty (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River). Long and Lafferty, who notched a pair of doubles in the matinee, led the Allegheny offense with two hits each.Â
Isabelle Wakefield (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek) and
Kaylin Tang (Vienna, Va./South Lakes) both tallied a hit in game one.Â
Hadley Horensky (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Seton LaSalle Catholic) paced the Gators in the night cap with two hits.Â
Lafferty, Tang,
Kyleigh Cason (Virginia Beach, Va./Floyd E Kellam) and
Joplin Osgood (Coudersport, Pa./Coudersport) all collected a hit during the second game. Behr, Osgood and Tang also all drove in a run in game two.
Allegheny finished its season with an overall record of 4-18 and 4-8 in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) competition.
