Gators cap off 2021 season against Fighting Scots

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny softball team finished up its 2021 season with a pair of nonconference losses to Wooster on Sunday.

Game one was highlighted by a pair of Allegheny home runs. In the bottom of the first inning, Hayley Behr (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) launched a three-run home run over the left field fence for her fourth of the season. Her three RBIs tied for a game-high.

Cameron Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) recorded her second home run of the campaign in the bottom of the third inning. Long belted a two-run shot over the center field fence that scored Kelly Lafferty (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River). Long and Lafferty, who notched a pair of doubles in the matinee, led the Allegheny offense with two hits each.

Isabelle Wakefield (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek) and Kaylin Tang (Vienna, Va./South Lakes) both tallied a hit in game one.

Hadley Horensky (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Seton LaSalle Catholic) paced the Gators in the night cap with two hits.

Lafferty, Tang, Kyleigh Cason (Virginia Beach, Va./Floyd E Kellam) and Joplin Osgood (Coudersport, Pa./Coudersport) all collected a hit during the second game. Behr, Osgood and Tang also all drove in a run in game two.
