MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny women's tennis team earned its second consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) victory with a 6-3 win over Wooster on Saturday.

With the win, Allegheny advances to 2-1 on the season and remains undefeated in conference play at 2-0. 

The Gators took five-of-six singles matches and the team of Katherine Marks (Argyle, Texas/Liberty Christian) and Gaby DeLeon (Weatherford, Texas/Weatherford) earned an 8-2 win at first doubles to secure the home win.

Marks and DeLeon also won their matches in singles competition. Marks defeated Otilia Oita at first singles in a decisive third set while also winning the tiebreaker during the second set 6-4, 7-6 8-6, 10-5 . DeLeon defeated Sarah Duran 6-1, 6-2 at second singles.

Ella Swan (Nashville, Tenn./Hume-Fogg Academic) also picked up a two-set win at third singles, defeating Laura Haley 6-1, 6-2. 

Jean-Arlette Legrand (San Juan, Puerto Rico) rallied in the second set at fourth singles before falling in the decisive third set.

Katherine Stancil (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) and Allison Riley (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) rounded out the Gators' singles matches with two-set wins each winning 6-2, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-4 respectively. 

Allegheny will be back in action this Tuesday for a road match against Ohio Wesleyan.
