BETHANY, W. Va. -- The Allegheny women's basketball team opened up the 2021-22 season on the road at Bethany Monday (Nov. 8).

The Gators fell to the Bison 85-35.

Branygan Bianchin (Wexford, Pa./North Catholic) led the Gators with 11 points, sinking a trio of three pointers.Â
Sydney Cook (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) was second on the team with seven points while
Tully Taylor (Conneaut, Ohio/Conneaut) had four.Â
Emily Lauer (Knox, Pa./Keystone),
Jenna Lutz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and
Jenna Manke (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) had three points apiece. Bianchin, Lauer and
Alexis Caldwell (Whitefish Bay, Wisc./Whitefish Bay) had a pair of assists apiece.
Defensively,
Chloe Rabold (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) led the Gators with five rebounds. Lutz and Manke tallied four boards apiece.Â
Allegheny makes its home debut Wednesday (Nov. 10) against Penn State Altoona. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m.
