MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny women's soccer team battled North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) foe Wooster on a cold, rainy Tuesday (Oct. 26) in Meadville.
The back-and-forth contest went into a second overtime session before a winner was decided. A little less than three minutes into the second extra session, the Fighting Scots earned a penalty kick following a red card. Wooster converted the opportunity to pick up the 1-0 conference win.
Emily Orr (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon Area) led the Gators with six shots, two on target.
Taylor McKindley (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) registered three shots while
Julieta Schworm (Newark, Ohio/Liking Valley) had two.
Kari May (Erie, Pa./McDowell) made 10 saves in goal.
The Gators are back in action Thursday (Oct. 28) when they travel to Hiram for a NCAC contest that was rescheduled from last week.
