WESTMINSTER, Md. -- The Allegheny men's lacrosse team continued its inaugural campaign on the road, dropping a 21-8 decision at McDaniel.
Patrick Hogan (London, Ontario/St. Andre Bessett) scored six goals to up his team-leading total to 17 after the first four games of his career. His 4.25 goals per game places him among the Top 30 in NCAA Division III currently. The reigning North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week also upped his season best by tying for the game high with 13 shots, 10 of which were on target (game best).Â
Nick Jordan (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan) and
David Kraus (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) each found the back of the net once, with Kraus and
Zackery Devers (Kapolei, Hawaii/Kapolei) both adding a pair of assists.
Defensively,
Harrison Bould (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) led all players with four caused turnovers, part of the 10 Allegheny had on the afternoon. Devers, Kraus and
Dillon D'Amato (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) each tied for the team lead with three ground balls apiece.
David Kratzenberg (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) was saddled with the loss, as he made six saves in the first 53 minutes of the game.
Allegheny will play the first home game in program history in one week when the Gators host Thiel at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
