ASHLAND, Va. – The Allegheny softball team opened their 2020 campaign at 10
th-ranked Randolph-Macon Friday (March 6).

The Gators dropped both ends of the doubleheader, falling 14-1 in game one and 14-0 in game two.

In game one,
Kyleigh Cason (Virginia Beach, Va./Floyd E Kellam) had a pair of hits and a RBI.Â
Kelly Lafferty (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River) also had a hit while
Joplin Osgood (Coudersport, Pa./Coudersport) scored the run.Â

In game two,
Kaylin Tang (Vienna, Va./South Lakes) and
Delaney Harrison-Peters (Silver Springs, Md./Walter Johnson) supplied hits for the Gators.

Allegheny is back in action Saturday (March 7) when they face Bethany and seventh-ranked Virginia Wesleyan.
