MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Allegheny women's tennis team completed its undefeated fall season with a 9-0 sweep of Houghton on Monday (Sept. 30).
Katherine Marks (Argyle, Texas/Liberty Christian) and
Gaby DeLeon (Weatherford, Texas/Weatherford) along with
Miharu Koh (Tokyo, Japan/ Monta Vista (Calif.)) and
Taylor Hayes (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community) handled their number one and number two doubles matches, respectfully, with 8-2 wins.
Amanda Ress Liere (Middle Island, N.Y./Longwood) and
Savannah Gray (San Diego, Calif./Mount Carmel) did not drop a game in their 8-0 victory in third doubles.
In the six singles competitions, Allegheny merely dropped a combined nine games while not dropping a set. Marks, Ress Liere, and Gray helped this number by not losing a single game in their matches.Â
The Gators look to carry this success into the spring season when they face off against Mount Union on Tuesday, March 3.
