MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Allegheny men's tennis team won its fourth straight match as the Gators defeated Houghton 7-2 on Monday (Sept. 30).
Mackenzie Knowlton (Toronto, Ont./Niagara Academy of Tennis) and
Adam Shinomiya (Portland, Ore./International School of Beaverton) earned the victory in second doubles with an 8-2 showing.
Ewan Malenfant (Dover, Del./Saint Thomas More) and
Fabrizzio Reategui (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Prep. International) also won their doubles match, as they tallied an 8-1 third doubles victory.

Wonjoon Cho (Wichita, Kan./Wichita Collegiate School) handled his competition 6-0 and 6-0 in two sets.
Cooper Miller (Falconer, N.Y./Falconer Central) defeated his opponent 6-3 and 6-3 before Malenfant went 6-1 in both sets in his victory.
Nate Chubb (Akron, N.Y./Akron Central) recorded a win with sets of 6-4 and 6-2. Reategui posted the final victory for Allegheny as he won his first set 6-2 before dropping his second 7-5. He then rallied to win the tiebreaker 10-7 and add to the Gators 7-2 victory.
The Gators conclude the 2019 fall season with the ITA Tournament starting on October 4th and wrapping up play on the 6th.
