GROVE CITY, Pa.—The Allegheny College women's tennis team fell to Grove City College 9-0 Thursday (April 11) in non-conference play.
The first doubles team of
Miharu Koh (Tokyo, Japan/Monta Vista (Calif.)) and
Savannah Gray (San Diego, Calif./Mt. Carmel), as well as the third doubles team of
Hannah Schaffer (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) and
Liz Evans (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley), had close matches. However, both Gator duos ultimately fell by similar 8-6 scores.
With the loss, the Gators fall to 7-8, while Grove City improves to 14-2.
The Gators return to action Saturday (April 13) when they travel to the College of Wooster for a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) match.
