GAMBIER, Ohio— The Allegheny College women's lacrosse team fell in their North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) opener 18-6 to Kenyon College Saturday (March 30).

The Ladies got out to a quick start, scoring four goals in the opening seven minutes, all of which were assisted.  The Gators got on the board a minute after the fourth Kenyon goal as Evi Malagise scored off a free-position shot.

Kenyon added three more goals to push their lead to 7-1.  Malagise scored her second goal of the game, this time off an assist from Sarah Basden.  After two more Kenyon goals, Alex Zielinski scored on a free-position shot to make it 9-3.  Late in the opening half, Kenyon scored their tenth goal to take a 10-3 lead into the break.

Early in the second half, the Ladies scored three straight goals to push their lead to 10 at 13-3.  The Gators fought back with two straight goals.  Brenna Lawler scored the first goal off a Mary Allen assist.
