An RBI single by senior
Tommy Cannon (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) plated the first run of the game in the top of the first before Allegheny opened the game up with a four spot in the second inning. Junior
Andrew Vincent (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) had an RBI double before Cannon brought in two more runs with a single to left. Later, Cannon was caught in a rundown between first and second, which allowed freshman

In the third, junior
Bret Kelly (Tonawanda, N.Y./Tonawanda) drove in sophomore
Luke Chutko (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) with a single and senior

Ben Kosbie (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side Academy) with a double off the left-field fence, 7-0.
Allegheny built the lead to 10-1 with three runs in the sixth thanks to RBI singles by Heckert and Lucas and a bases-loaded walk to senior
