BETHANY, W. Va. – Senior
Delaney Arbore became the 17th player in Allegheny College women's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points as the Gators jumped out to a big first-half lead and cruised past Bethany in nonconference road action by a final score of 69-54.

Entering the game needing just 10 points, Arbore achieved the milestone scoring plateau before halftime with the final points coming on a three-pointer from the right wing with as the clock ticked past 1:20 remaining in the second quarter. The triple was the 155th of the senior's career, as she has made the second-most three-pointers in program history, trailing only Katie Kestler (2003-07). With 25 points, her fourth 20-plus point performance of the season, Arbore ended the day at 1,015 career points to sit in 14th place on the Allegheny scoring list.

Thanks to a 20-8 scoring advantage in the second quarter, the Gators doubled up the Bison in the first half, leading by a 38-19 margin through 20 minutes.

Rylee Donovan was the only other Gator to reach double digits, turning in 12 points and a game-high seven assists. Arbore tied for the game lead with seven rebounds and dished out three assists to equal

For the game, Allegheny forced 25 Bethany turnovers, and held the Bison to just 34.6 percent (18-of-25) from the field

The Gators (5-5) will return to the court to wrap up nonconference action for the 2018-19 campaign when they travel to Grove City 7 p.m. matchup against the Wolverines on Wednesday, Dec. 12.
