Coming off of its most impressive performance of the 2018 season, Allegheny welcomes DePauw to Frank B. Fuhrer Field for a Homecoming Day battle. Last week at Kenyon, the Gators amassed 532 yards of total offense, while forcing six Kenyon turnovers, en-route to a 54-10 win. Logan Lee threw for 368 yards and five touchdowns, as the Gators moved to 4-2 in the NCAC, their best start in conference play since 2012. The Gators have dropped five straight to DePauw, with the last victory coming in 2012, a 22-20 decision at Frank B. Fuhrer Field. Allegheny has won its past two Homecoming Day games, topping Kenyon 44-35 last season, and Oberlin 26-21 in 2017.
DePauw is riding a two-game losing streak, most recently falling 38-23 last week at NCAC-leading Wittenberg. The Tigers trailed just 17-9 midway through the third quarter, before Wittenberg blew it open with three touchdowns in an eight-minute span. The Tigers rank ninth in the NCAC in total offense with an average of 302 yards per game, but DePauw's defense is the third stingiest in the conference, allowing an average of just 331 yards per game. Nate Orrison has been a menace on defense for DePauw, as he currently leads the NCAC in both sacks (9.5) and tackles for loss (14.5), while also forcing three fumbles. While the Tigers are 5-2 all-time against Allegheny, just two of the victories came at Frank B. Fuhrer Field, in 2016 and 2014.
