MEADVILLE, Pa. – Defending North Coast Athletic Conference champion Ohio Wesleyan rode an impressive three-point shooting display to defeat Allegheny 110-48 in the Wise Center.
Ohio Wesleyan (11-4, 6-2 NCAC) broke a Wise Center facility record by making 22 three-pointers on 51 attempts, while limiting Allegheny (5-10, 2-6 NCAC) to just 35 percent from the field, and 0-for-11 from behind the arc.

Tavian Strobridge came off the bench to lead the Gators with 10 points, while fellow rookie
Lamar Todd scored eight points, and freshman
Nijon Kirkman and sophomore
Brendan O'Toole seven points apiece. O'Toole added a game-high eight rebounds, but Allegheny struggled on the glass for the game, as OWU finished with a 56-36 rebounding advantage, including 24 offensive rebounds that led to 22 second-chance points.
The Battling Bishops saw five players score in double figures, led by 17 points from Seth Clark, and 16 from Nate Axelrod. Axelrod also added a game-leading six assists, while Clark tied with O'Toole for game-high honors with eight boards.
The Gators will return to action on Wednesday, January 17, when travel to Ohio to face off against NCAC foe Oberlin beginning at 8 p.m.
