On Blue and Gold Homecoming Day at Allegheny College, the Gators will welcome Kenyon College to Frank B. Fuhrer Field. Allegheny is looking to bounce back from a 49-15 loss at #11 Wittenberg last Saturday afternoon. After the Gator pulled to within one touchdown midway through the second quarter, Wittenberg answered back with four unanswered scores over the second and third frames to pull away for the victory. This week, the Gators will be looking for their second straight Homecoming victory, after defeating Oberlin 26-20 on Oct. 1 of last season.
Kenyon comes into the week searching for their first victory of the season, but the Lords' last two losses came by tight margins, including a 23-21 loss to Ohio Wesleyan on Oct. 7, and last week's 62-56 shootout loss to Hiram, a game in which Kenyon rolled up 549 yards of total offense, including 410 through the air by quarterback Thomas Merkle. Kenyon has defeated the Gators in each of the past five seasons, with Allegheny's last win in the series coming in 2011.
