GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Allegheny women's soccer team's season came to an end in heartbreaking fashion, as host DePauw scored in the 88th minute for a 3-2 win.

Kayla Dantona scored both Allegheny goals, giving the Gators an early 1-0 lead in the 15
th minute, before scoring the equalizer in the 70
th minute to make it 2-2, but Elizabeth Seewar's goal with 1:12 left in regulation gave the Tigers the comeback win.

Colleen Fleming finished with seven saves, as the Gators were out-shot 27-7 for the afternoon.
DePauw had the better of the play early on, racking seven shots and three corner kicks in the first 13 minutes, but the Gator defense blocked a trio of attempts, while Fleming made two saves, to keep the match scoreless.
The Gators then made the most of their first shot of the afternoon, as Dantona scored her first of the season, assisted by classmate
Hannah Eisemann, to put Allegheny up 1-0 15:09 into play.
DePauw quickly regained the momentum, recording five more shots over the next 15 minutes, with Fleming turning in three saves over the span to keep the Tigers off the board. The Tigers' final three shots of the first half went off the mark, and the score remained 1-0 at the intermission.
The Tigers continued their offensive pressure in the opening stages of the second half, and tied the game in the 61st minute, on an unassisted tally from Bailey Ehrens. The momentum stayed with DePauw, as the Tigers racked four more shots over the next five minutes, before a header goal by Seewar in the 68
th minute gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead.
Just 16 seconds later, Dantona evened it back up with her second goal of the game, an unassisted tally, and play would open up, with the teams trading scoring chances over the next several minutes. Fleming made three saves in a three-minute span, before the Gators had a pair of close chances thwarted, with Tiger keeper Riley Riordan saving one, and the subsequent rebound hitting the post. After a third Gator opportunity went just wide with 1:46 left, the Tigers quickly countered, as Seewar scored the eventual game-winner, assisted by Bridget Brendzna, with just 1:17 left to play.
In the last game of her stellar career, senior
Jessie Thiessen led Allegheny with three shots, while Dantona finished with a pair.
The loss ends the Gators' season at 6-10-1 overall, and 3-5-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while DePauw moves to 9-6-1/5-3 NCAC.
