Fundraising For Robertson Athletic Complex Upgrades
In July of 2024, Allegheny College announced its commitment to upgrading and updating the Robertson Athletic Complex facilities by 2025, aiming to create a premier athletic center in NCAA Division III and the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).
The initial $1.5 million in funding for the project is a gift from Kevin Baird and his wife, Lisa Fiedor Baird, both 1984 Allegheny College graduates. The Bairds’ support will go toward the construction of a 10,000-square-foot facility which will provide new coach’s offices and locker rooms for the football program, as well as an expansive meeting room designed for alumni events and customized visit experiences with prospective student-athletes.
In October, Allegheny launched its $250 million capital campaign, “In for Allegheny: Our Pathway Forward,” the College’s largest campaign ever, to support and achieve the goals of its Strategic Pathway, a roadmap into the future to guide and ensure that the College and its graduates have a positive effect on their communities, the workplace and the world around them. Investments to improve the campus infrastructure also are slated to begin on best-in-class athletics facilities, including the construction of the new locker room and team meeting space at Robertson.
