Allegheny men's indoor track and field athlete Tim Hassett placed sixth among nine competitors in the North Coast Athletic Conference Pentathlon on Saturday at Oberlin.

Hassett scored a total of 2,605 points and recorded his best finish in the 55-meter hurdles. He finished the hurdle event in 8.45 seconds -- good enough for four place.

In the long jump, Hassett stretched 5.60 meters (18 feet, 4 1/2 inches) to finish fifth. He also grabbed sixth in the shot put (9.32 meters, 30-7) and sixth in the high jump (1.65 meters, 5-5).
