Allegheny freshman Jyl Russotti enjoyed a strong start to her collegiate career, as she helped the Gators to a 2-2 weekend at the Saint Vincent Bearcat Challenge. Russotti was named to the all-tournament team after totaling 28 kills, 14 blocks, eight digs, and six service aces over the four matches. In the season-opener with Waynesburg, Russotti totaled eight blocks and eight kills, while in the Gators' 3-2 win over Saint Vincent on Saturday, she posted nine kills, four blocks, four digs, and three aces.
