Junior men's indoor track and field runner Andrew Mahone set a new school record in the 800-meter run at the Kent State Tune-Up on Saturday.

Mahone took seventh in the 800, clocking in at 1:55.23, and broke the former record set by Garret Piispanan in 2007 (1:56.13).
