At the Youngstown State Invitational, senior Carter Smith placed sixth overall in a field of 50 runners - and first among Division-III competitors - in the 3,000 meter run with a career-best time of 8:36.76.  The fastest time in the event by a North Coast Athletic Conference runner this season, it is also the fifth-fastest 3,000 run by a Gator in program history, while it is the 17th-best time in the event by an NCAA Division III runner this year.
