At the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic, Hevener crossed the 10,000 meter finish line in 36:06.70, the sixth-fastest time recorded by a Division-III runner this season, and just two seconds off of the 34-year old school-record in the event. It was good for a ninth-place finish overall in a field of 46 runners, while Hevener was the second non-Division-I finisher.
