Allegheny senior Amanda Balzer had a strong performance in the Gators' season-opener at Kent State.  In the 60m hurdles, she established a new personal record time of 9.34 seconds, also the third-fastest time in program history.  In the finals of the event, competing against seven Division-I athletes, she placed fifth overall.  She also competed in the 300 meter dash, and posted a time of 43,60 seconds, the top mark by a Division-III runner.
