Allegheny College Athletics

Senior Jessie Thiessen was named Allegheny Athlete of the Week for the second straight week, after scoring all three Gator goals in a pair of games.  On Tues. Sept. 19 vs. Fredonia, Thiessen scored the game-tying goal in the 52nd minute on a leaping header assisted by Isabella Martinez.  She then converted on a breakaway with 1:10 left in regulation for her second game-winning goal in as many games.  On Sunday at Carnegie Mellon, Thiessen scored her fifth goal in three games on a strike in the 81st minute.
