Picked to finish third in a pre-championship coaches poll, the Allegheny women's cross country team won its 12th North Coast Athletic Conference championship on Saturday, and first since 2007.

The Gators placed four runners in the top-10 to finish with 51 points to edge second-place Oberlin, which entered the race having won seven consecutive NCAC titles, by just six points.  Junior S.J. Guillaume was Allegheny's top finisher, placing second overall to earn First Team All-NCAC plaudits.  Junior Monica Patrick (eighth), senior Alyssa Brindle (ninth), and sophomore Ariel Rittenhouse (tenth) joined Guillaume as all-conference honorees, marking Patrick's first ever all-conference accolade, Brindle's third, and Rittenhouse's second.  In addition, the Gators' Jordan Hill was named the NCAC's Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
