With the Gators going 6-0 over the last week en route to improving their winning streak to 10 games, Bonnett made a major impact as the squad’s offensive leader. Starting every game of the week in the leadoff spot, Bonnett batted .500 over the squad’s six games, slugging a team-high .750 while also leading the squad with a .613 on-base percentage. The freshman erupted for 12 hits, including four doubles and a triple, scoring 13 runs while driving in 18, also establishing himself a threat in the base paths by going 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts. Bonnett started the week with a 3-for-4 performance, with three runs scored and a pair of RBI in Allegheny’s 16-10 win over No. 24 John Carroll. The freshman then scattered eight hits over four games in Allegheny’s four-game sweep of Oberlin, leading off the series with a 3-of-4 performance, including three runs driven in, to push the Gators to a precedent-setting, 10-7 win over the Yeomen.Â
