Petro capped off a phenomenal indoor season for the Gators, taking first in the weight throw at the NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.  The school record holder in the event, the senior dethroned two-time defending conference champ Derek De St. Jean of Wabash in an epic duel, throwing 17.51 meters to take the gold and earn his fourth career All-NCAC accolade.
