Curtis helped lead the Gators to a pair of victories on the week, as the team improved to 8-3 overall. Â She played all 180 minutes in goal and earned a pair of shutout victories. Â She opened the week by making four saves in the Gators' 4-0 win over Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday. Â In Saturday's NCAC-opening 1-0 win at Denison, Curtis finished with eight saves, and kept her team in the game early, as she made five stops in a first half that saw the Big Red own a 12-2 advantage in shots. Â
Following the two clean sheets, Curtis now has an 0.78 goals-against average and five shutouts on the season, while totaling 30 saves. Dating back to the Gators' 2013 NCAC championship-winning campaign, the Stony Point, N.Y. native has allowed just 23 goals in 30 games, with 12 shutouts and a 0.85 goals-against average.
