With her ninth clean sheet of the 2009 season, goalkeeper Emily Karr set an Allegheny College women's soccer for shutouts in a season, breaking a four-way tie with Karyn Howe (1997), Beth Van Parys (2005) and Michelle Welker (2006), who had eight shutouts apiece.

The Gators defeated Oberlin and Earlham by 1-0 scores during the week. Karr stopped two and three shots, respectively.

She also moved into a tie for second place on the Allegheny career shutouts list with 15. She is now even with Van Parys (2002-05). Deb Klinefelter (1987-90) is atop the career shutouts list with 21.
