Allegheny College Athletics

William Cramer, a standout in Football, Basketball and Track and Field, garnered 6 varsity letters while at Allegheny.  In football he was named honorable mention Small College All-American.  In track he competed in the 100, 200 and 440 meter events. After scoring the final basket in Allegheny’s Montgomery Gymnasium, the veteran’s career was interrupted by four years of military service with the United States Marine Corps. Cramer was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
