Tracy won three letters in baseball and four in football. He played catcher in baseball, and quarterback and safety in football.
In his junior year, 1961, Tracy was named to the All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference First Team as quarterback. He was also named to the Pittsburgh Press All-District First Team as quarterback, and was selected the Pittsburgh Press All-District Back of the Year.
As a catcher for the Gator baseball team in 1962 and 1963, he was named to the All-PAC First Team.
In his senior season he was co-captain of the football team.
At the end of the ’62 season, he was named to the All-PAC First Team and to the Pittsburgh Press All-District Honorable Mention.
Tracy was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.
