Allegheny College Athletics

Thomas Held is a two-time All-American in track and field, finishing second at the 1982 NCAA Division III national championship in the 1,500 meter run.  He placed seventh in the nation in the 1,500 meters in 1983 and was named an Academic All-American that same year.  Held set the Presidents’ Athletic Conference and Allegheny records in winning the 800 and 1500 meter runs at the 1982 PAC championships.  Thomas also won PAC Championships in the 800 and 1500 in 1980 and 1981.  He was also All-PAC in cross country in 1980.
