Ronda Seagraves began her tenure at Allegheny as head coach of the women’s volleyball program and an assistant women’s basketball coach and finished her time as the women’s basketball head coach with a winning percentage of nearly .700.

After three years coaching women’s volleyball, Seagraves left the College for two years; however, in 1986, she took over as the head coach of the women’s basketball program and saw immediate success. In her first three years at the helm, Allegheny won the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship and made appearances in the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship field. The 25 wins from the 1986-87 campaign still stand as the second-most in a single season for the program.

During the 1987-88 year, Seagraves mentored the NCAC Player of the Year in Suzanne Helfant, and Seagraves went on to earn NCAC Coach of the Year honors following the 1988-89 season. All told, she finished her time as the women’s basketball coach at Allegheny with a career record of 110-49 (.692), and coached 23 All-NCAC honorees (seven First Team, six Second Team, 10 Honorable Mention).
