Allegheny College Athletics

Philip Murphy was the fifth leading scorer in Allegheny basketball history with 1,267 career points.  He was the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 1980-81, when he scored 493 points, at that time a school record.  He led the Gators to three PAC championships and three NCAA tournament berths.  He was a first team all-PAC selection in both 1980-81 and 1981-82.  He led Allegheny in scoring his junior and senior seasons.  He was the two-year co-captain and played in 94 career games.
