Allegheny College Athletics

Michael C. Ganey was a four year letter winner in football.  He was named an All-America Honorable Mention by Associated Press in 1969.  He was named Allegheny’s Most Valuable player in 1966 and 1969.  He was a co-captain his senior year.  PAC named him Passing Leader for three years.  Other recognitions Ganey earned include All-PAC First Team Quarterback in 1967, 1968, and 1969 and the Pittsburgh Press All-District First Team Quarterback in 1968 and 1969.  In 1969 he was ranked 19^th in NCAA College Division in individual total offense. 

Ganey was Allegheny’s scoring leader for three years and eighth on Allegheny All-Time Football Career scoring list.  Ganey owns the school record in longest touchdown pass and the most touchdown passes in a game, season, and career. The 1968 team set the record for most total yards offense which stands second and the record for total offensive plays.
