Marci Hennessey earned All-America honors in 1987, ’89, ’90 and ’91 and was the national champion in the 100-yard backstroke in 1987, finishing in a time of 0:59.43.  She would later set the school record in that event, which still stands, at 0:59.27.  Hennessey also currently holds school records as part of the 800-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard medley relay.  At the time of her graduation, she was also the Gator record holder in the 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard individual medley and 400-yard medley relay.  During her four years, the Gators finished fourth twice and 11th twice at the NCAA Championship.  She is a native of Lynnfield, Massachusetts.
