John Reynders won the most games as basketball coach in school history.  He coached from 1979 to 1989 and compiled a career record of 181-78.  He led the Gators to five NCAA Tournament appearances, two PAC championships and three NCAC titles.  His 1987-88 team set a school record with 24 wins.  He was twice named PAC Coach of the Year and once NCAC Coach of the Year.  He coached the six most prolific scorers in school history and 14 first team all-conference players.  He was the cofounder of the Golden Gator Club.  He was also a three-year letter-winner as a player from 1971-75.
