His best performance came during his senior year, rushing for 1,393 yards - second-highest season total in school history - and 25 touchdowns.

Mormino capped his career with three separate All-America honors during his senior year, given by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Football Gazette and Hewlett Packard. He was also the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Offensive Player of the Year.

In 1995 and 1996, Mormino was named to the All-NCAC Second Team. Over the course of those two seasons, he appeared in 20 games, finishing with 131 rushes for 1,068 yards and 14 touchdowns. During his three years at Allegheny, the Gators were 38-5 and won three NCAC championships. Mormino also caught 48 passes during his career, compiling 679 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.

His 1997 season is one of the most prolific scoring campaigns in Division III history. Heading into the recent 2009 season, he was tied for 11th all-time for points per game in a season (17.4) and tied for 13th for points in a season (174) thanks to his 29 total touchdowns in 10 games.

Mormino erupted for five touchdowns in a 75-16 win over Oberlin on Nov. 15 that year. In the next game, he led the charge in his final collegiate game, scoring three touchdowns on Nov. 22 in a 34-30 NCAA Tournament loss to eventual national champ Mount Union.

In outdoor track & field, he was a three-time NCAC champion and NCAA Division III Championships qualifier in the decathlon. He still holds the school record (6,251 points) in the decathlon set in 1998.
