Allegheny College Athletics

Jennifer Colgrove Martin was a track and field All-American in three events over two seasons.  She finished third in NCAA Division III in 10,000 meter run in 1982 and finished third in the nation in the 5,000 meter run in 1983 and fourth in 1982.  She set Allegheny track records in the 800 meter, 880 yard and the high jump.  Martin was a cross-country All-American in both 1981 and 1982.  She finished fifth at NCAA Division III cross country national championship in 1982 and was also the NCAA Mideast region champion that same year.  Jennifer placed 13^th in the nation at the 1981 Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) cross country championship.  She was named Allegheny’s female Athlete of the Year in both 1981-82 and 1982-83.
